Thanks Galerie Protégé
transFIGURE is down!
I want to thank Jacklyn and Deb for a great show at Galerie Protégé. They did a great job mounting a fine exhibition and promoting the show. For a first crack, it was stellar.
Thank you fine ladies!
Even though the show is over, you can still purchase works from the show at the gallery, so head on over to Chelsea Frames at 197 Ninth Ave, New York, NY 10011 and ask for one of the ladies.
In the meantime, check out other Rodin pieces and works by Henry J. Simonds at 1stdibs.com

transFIGURE OPENING
This past Thursday, September 8th, Galerie Protégé held the opening of their first exhibition, "transFIGURE". I was pleased to be included with two other great artists, Meghann Snow and Mia Berg. It was a wonderful event and a great evening - a good sign for more great things to come from this new gallery.
Here are photos from the opening night.
Best,
Henry

Rodin at Protégé
Hey Folks,
I am pleased to be included in the group show, "transFIGURE", at Galerie Protégé in New York. Debra Kowalski and Jaclyn Acker have renovated and opened the space in the lower level of Chelsea Frames at 197 Ninth Ave in Chelsea. I am honored to be one of the three artists to open the new gallery.
The shows opens Thursday, September 8th at 6pm and runs until October 6th.
I hope you'll join me for what should be a great show in a great new space.

Pittsburgh Center for the Arts: The Installation
Hey folks,
I finally got some great pictures of the show. These were taken after the installation and at the opening, so if you missed it, you can see how the show was hung and people enjoying the art.
Hope you enjoy.
Best,
Henry

Sell! Sell! Sell!
That's what my dear friend Antoinette texted me recently when I said I might have to postpone getting her a work because someone else was interested in it. I am pleased to report I was able to make them both happy. Since the show, I have sold 10 pieces from the exhibition and know of several others who are interested. Each of the works come in an edition of 5 and I have sold 7 of the 1st editions and several 2nd editions. I am still exploring new venues for people to see the show; but, in the meantime, if you know folks who might be interested in learning more let me know.
Here are the remaining available 1st editions:
"Le Jardin C"
"Accroupie"
"Bellone"
Happy Easter!

Adieu PCA. Merci beaucoup!
I deinstalled the show at the PCA today, so those of you who didn't get a chance to see the pieces will have to wait until next time. I am approaching several venues with the show, including the Rodin Museum in Philly and the Musée Rodin itslef in Paris, so perhaps there will be another opportunity. The staff at the Center for the Arts has been great. So thanks to all who helped there. I'll post some photos of the installation when I get them, so be on the lookout for another update.
Cheers,
Henry

Rodin and Quantum
On Saturday, February 19th, Quantum Theatre celebrated 20 years of theater in Pittsburgh. It was a fun night and I was honored to donate a piece from the show, Rodin: A Day at la Musée, to the silent auction. The winner is able to choose an edition from any of the images in the series. I look forward to having the work hang in another person's home.
Check here for details on the event.
